Z-Parasites App: Benjamin

Name: Benjamin Matthews
Nicknames: Bright eyes, Cheshire Owl [Nightwing]
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Role: Transformation Specialist
Eye anomaly: Very wide pupils, almond shaped, and yellow
Vein position: Base of the spine

Personality: Benjamin is an odd ball, pure and straight, who makes his living off of the local gossip. He can learn anything you ever wanted to know about a person and some things that make you regret ever knowing them or this strange owl. He makes a great informant but with a catch. Benjamin believes that only people who actually bother to get the information deserve to know about it, so the majority of his conversations are obvious lies or believable enough to create conspiracies. Sometimes even interlacing truth with fiction, and, as the final icing on the cake, he has no privacy issues.

"Just the usual report: bunnies are sprouting from trrreee~s before getting upducted by aliens. GG soldiers are on their way after dropping their brains off at the quikie mart, and your stash of Sport's Magazine is being passed around in the cafeteria."

Unlike most of the other Harmony members, Benjamin has no real quarrel with GG despite having the double whammy of both being infected and being raised in the slums. Humans that turn into animals is rather scary sounding. The same goes with the Tamed, they might've made a deal with the devil, but their lives are better than what they might've been. You can't blame someone for that. He also believes that this war will take many generations, and that he and everyone else is just the first step. Because of all this, he avoids killing off his enemies, not because he has a problem with it, but because he doesn't take the war seriously and he knows it. Best leave that to actual soldiers.

Benjamin prefers to remain in his symbiote form at all times. So much in fact that it is almost impossible to see his human shape. When he turn back, his personality does a 180: he becomes more self conscious, expressive, and will often try to avoid other people. It is unknown if this is his original personality of if he simply gets an ego drop after changing back. Possibly the latter since he'll spend much of his time as a human rubbing his arms and saying that he misses his wings.

Overall, Ben is a rather bizare and creepy person to be around, but he is quite loyal to Harmony and his friends. Despite blurting out the most embarrasing things about them, he treats them politely and makes a point of keeping eye contact.

...Which in retrospect he is allowed to drop...

Backstory: Most of his past Benjamin keeps tight lipped-er-beak. He will vocally admit that he was born and raised in the slums of Georgia. Despite being dirt poor, he considers this a good thing since it means that GG never had to notice him.

"I'd rather be starving free than be a bird in a guilded cage."

He also made his living learning and trading any kind of local information from the best places to sleep to who's going to kill who. From there, though, any questions about his family or infection is shut down or averted.

Parasite type: Eastern Screech Owl
Parasite name: George
Origin: George was born in the labs of GG in an attempt to bring back the beautiful owls, starting with smaller species before they work their way up. George was the first of the red screech owl variety before becoming infected. He escaped from the labs soon after.

The majority of George's time before meeting Ben was spent lying in wait in the woods. During this time, he developed a taste for parasites of an owl's diet variety.

The Infection: The truth is, George and Ben's meeting was purely happenstance. George had managed to get into the city and was looking for a human host when Ben fell right on top of him. To avoid being suffocated, George crawled under Ben's shirt and infected him. All of this took place in an old shack with a flimsy roof, so George has no idea what happened before Ben fell on him.

Personality: George is a lot more aggressive than his host, as he actually does have an actual hatred of humans. Despite this, though, he only tends to come out when Ben is just unable to things on his own. Why doesn't he try to overpower someone who is always in symbiote form then?

"That would mean intercrossing with his mind, and I don't want him anywhere near my sanity."

He has also developed a taste for parasites that fall under a screech owl's diet and is alot more dangerous to them as he will actually try to eat them.

Other facts:
- Ben has an odd way of speaking. When he makes the 're' sound he tends to role it a bit. So 'really' sounds more like 'rrtee~ally' from him.
- Being an owl, Ben inherited all of the animal's skills including silent flying, night vision, and turning his head completely around.
- He likes to use the latter to keep talk to people who are behind him.
- Despite coming from the slums, Ben has no fighting skills to speak of. Instead he spouts some of the most inane, mindblowing **** you can think of leaving his enemies in a constant state of WT-.
- Since joining Harmony, he has started to set up a 'for fun' betting booth where members can bet food and belongings on who gets captured in the next mission.
